During the official launch of the Gammangwato Marathon on Friday, 16th May, an important announcement was made by Kgosikgolo Seretse Khama Ian Khama IV.

In front of dikgosi, elders, and community members gathered at Makaleng, Kgosi Rasebolai Mojampo Kgamane was formally nominated as Deputy Chief to Kgosi Seretse Peter Khama.

This nomination strengthens the traditional leadership structure and reinforces continuity in service to the Gammangwato people.

The announcement was met with strong support and marks a significant moment in the preservation and advancement of the region’s chieftaincy and cultural governance.
